Counselor's Corner
Meet the Counselor!
My name is Ms. Sarah Doramus and I am your Elementary School Counselor at Castle Rock Elementary.
Let me introduce myself. I have a Bachelor of Science in Sociology, a Master of Science in Educational Counseling with a PPS credential. I am passionate about school counseling and love working with students. My goals, as a counselor, are to help students feel safe and supported on campus, find their voice, learn how to succeed in school and make the most of their education for their future careers. I believe all students have gifts and abilities that can be uncovered with encouragement, diligence, and support.
Some hobbies, I enjoy in my spare time are, traveling, hanging out with my family and friends, and spending time in the great outdoors. I am a bit of a pop culture enthusiast and am a fan of Harry Potter, Disneyland, scary movies, reading great books and seeing new movies. And last but not least, I am also an athletic/sports enthusiast. I participated in sports all throughout my childhood. Some of my favorite teams are the Dodgers, Kings, and Lakers.
During a school year, I work with students by providing individual counseling, targeted group counseling, lunch bunch (everyone is welcome during lunch), whole class classroom lessons, as well as collaborating with teachers, staff, parents, and community members.
If you have social-emotional concerns for your child, please reach out to their teacher first. Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
